Today's health package: Constipation.

Image
Hey, we have shared so much about our health and today we have something that seem common yet dangerous, constipation. What is constipation? Constipation simply refers to infrequent bowel movements and hard or difficult defection. Scientists insist that three signs are important to diagnose that someone has constipation; 1. Infrequent bowel movements (three or fewer times of passing stool per week), 2. Straining or difficulty passing stool (yeah, when you rock your breath and use your abdominal muscles to push stool out), and 3. The feeling that there is incomplete emptying of your bowel (yeah, you feel fecal matter is still hanging in there). Actually, the last two matter most even when you are trying daily. So what do you think? Could you be experiencing it?............

Parkinson's law: work expands to fill the time allocated for its completion

Image
According to Parkinson's law, work expands to fill the time allocated for its completion". For example, if 6 hours are allocated for work that would need 3 hours, then the work or working people will have to expand all their activities to fill up the 6 hours. Basing on this insight, CEOs and governments are planning to reduce the standard working hours from 8 to 6 hours a day for 4 or 3 days a week. Researchers have found out that when workers are given little time to spend at work, they work efficiently and find time for their other programs and life. This reduces stress, sicknesses among workers, multiplies productivity and happiness at work, and life becomes much better.......

Technology and Bible: We are not opposing God or nature when we do "impossible" things, we are reaffirming our greatness in Him

In the 2015 movie, Point Break, a plot is about a group of believers determined to break what had been called 'The Ozaki 8'. Ozaki 8 is a group of about 8 actions that seem to be impossible to be done by man as nature provides, but these believers are determined to work against nature and be that heroic. Research has been done on super sports performers who do more than man expects and concludes that as man does more that seem to be impossible in nature laws, he is instead drawn closer to nature than getting far. As man achieves greater sports activities within the same realms of nature, he discovers how him and nature have been one, had been connected to do greater things and yet for long, man had separated himself and believed in little things. That is the essence.

Having answers to every question: Dealing with too personal, too private, inherent disappointments.

We have often been counseled to always try to look at the positive side of every situation and make use of every trouble, challenge or misfortune that befalls us, but the problem is we have rarely been taught or told how to do it. Usually, it is possible, out of experience, that every situation ends up working for us and not against us, but this is easily possible if we are able to keep a positive outlook that makes us think through, work through, and exploit every possible opportunity in a situation so we end up using an enemy for our promotion. But do we even know how to do this? Is it really possible to keep positive when a disease is harassing our lives or those of the people we love? Can we still walk through when our businesses are crumbling and nobody is helping? Can we be able to maintain positive living when all we see is a world full of enmity, injustice, corruption, and hostility? Is it easy to still live on with some happiness when the close people are nagging and a probl…

What Does It Mean When The Bible Asks Us To Be Contented?

Image
We have been taught to be contented with what we have. Actually, even the poor have been told to be happy that they are poor and get contented with the little they have. While this teaching is true and helps to guard against sins of greed, it has misled many of us from the truth that God expects-Divine longing.

Human development in terms of thinking, materialistc expansion, our learning and even sanctification is a continuous process. In other words, the positions we have now, the success we have achieved, or the exactness with Jesus we think we have acquired is not final; there is so much more, so much greater, so much than we are now that we can be-Divine discontentment.

Our family travel to the Eastern Uganda; Bugiri and Tororo towns

It was Thurday evening at around 2pm when I and my sweetheart, Amulen Winfred set off from Kampala to Bugiri. It was sunny that day, but ah, ah no, none of us was ready to miss the adventerous travel. Actually, it was an invitation from her sisters (the twins) that we were honouring. The twins, Babirye and Nakato were having graduation ceremony at UCC-Tororo and we could not miss the chance. So we boarded. The travel journey was fairly good though some hunger-related issue caused us some dissatisfaction, oh no, I am talking about when the taxi driver refused to stop on the way so we could swallow some chicken. We, however, had a good seat and no big overcrowding. That was in the taxi traveling from Kampala to Jinja-Iganga-Bugiri-Tororo. Wapi wapi, do not mind about the wrong date, the camera is wrong and we are right, it was 12th, May and it was Thursday. Remember, Bugiri town is about 167 kilometres or more from Kampala…
